You don't have to do this alone.

Find the archives of our weekly newsletter that helps you make sense of all the ways grief and trauma are upending your life

Finding Your Way in the SGC
There's no single right way to be in this community. Some weeks you'll have the capacity to show up fully — camera on, story shared, replying to everyone whose words hit close. Other weeks, just opening the app and reading what someone else wrote is the all you may have energy for.
What matters isn't which tool you're using on a given day, but whether it is feeling supportive
Each aspect of the sibling grief community is listed below, and in the description are questions to help you determine whether this tool is currently helpful or overwhelming- or how to make this tool fit for where you are in grief.
01
Daily prompts in the WhatsApp chat
A reminder: there is no grade. Respond with a short or long answer, share as much or as little as you'd like. Sharing anything (even a response in polls) will make connection with others more possible.
Ask: Is daily too much? Would responding on one or two specific days each week be more doable? Or would simple reacting to other's sharing or interacting via polls be more feasible?
02
The Friday Newsletter
It's worth checking in with yourself about whether that weekly rhythm actually fits your life right now, whether you find yourself looking forward to it or dreading opening it, and whether once a week feels like enough contact or like a way of keeping the rest of the group at arm's length.
Ask: After I finish reading, do I feel like I understand my grief a little better — or do I feel like I still need someone to talk to about it? ( zoom meetings may be good to trt)
-
If I'm craving contact with other people right now, am I looking for it here — where it isn't built to happen — instead of in Zoom, prompts, or responding on the WhatsAPP

Live Zoom Meetings
Small groups of a few grievers talking in real time!
Some people need this because a talking to someone face to face hits in a way chatting online doesn't. .
However the beginning of the session IS purely information or exercises from me and are recorde, so it could be worth it to watch the recording and see how you feel before joining!
ASK: Does being with people live make my grief feel less isolating, or does it make me shut down? Am I craving that small-group closeness, or avoiding it because it feels too exposed? When's the last time I sat with people who actually understood, outside of here? How do I feel when viewing the recording - safe or overwhelmed?
Upcoming Live Meetings
**VERY IMPORTANT**
These meetings are very casual. It's okay if kids run in and out, or if you show up in your pjs, or if you just keep your camera off. Really I just want you to know that this is a safe place for you specifically, no matter how you are feeling or where you are at in grief.
